Works with ages: 6+ Professional Highlights: Abby received a Master’s degree in Public Health from BYU. She is currently completing her PhD in Counseling Psychology at BYU. Her dissertation focuses on barriers to mental health care for Pacific Islanders. Abby has experience working with a variety of populations through Mountainlands Community Health Center and BYU’s Counseling Center.
Specialties: Abby works with children, adolescents, and adults. Her therapy style is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and integrates principles from Multicultural Counseling and Interpersonal Therapy. She tries to create a warm and collaborative space, while challenging clients to help them reach their goals and gain the skills needed to cope with their challenges. Abby works with a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, and diversity-related struggles.
