
Tyson Albertson, PsyD

Professional Highlights
Dr. Albertson received his PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Loma Linda University. His doctoral project consisted of psychological theory development and focused on the potential therapeutic impact of incorporating compassionate love (otherwise known as agape love or charity) into the therapy process. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at Utah Valley University’s Student Health Services.
Specialties
Dr. Albertson’s clinical concentration while attending Loma Linda University was in the psychology of religion, which emphasized how to appropriately and effectively integrate the client’s religion and/or spirituality into the therapy process. Dr. Albertson continues to use this training in his work when desired by his clients. He approaches therapy from a place of compassion, in hopes of establishing a safe and warm environment for his clients. He emphasizes a collaborative approach to therapy and seeks to foster therapeutic healing and growth by inviting clients to live a more meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling life. Dr. Albertson works with adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, and relational concerns.
