Introducing Jordan Robertson

Alliance Psychology is pleased to have Jordan Robertson, a therapist in Orem, counseling with adults, couples, and children ages 6+.
Jordan earned a Master’s of Public administration from the U of U and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from BYU before making a pivot (after 15 years of being a stay-at-home Mom) to Psychology, where she is currently pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology at BYU. Her dissertation focused on bereavement in families and explored the experience of grandmothers supporting their bereaved grandchildren. Jordan has been a hospice volunteer and presented at conferences to support grieving individuals. Jordan has taught courses at BYU in career exploration and has previous experiences as a therapist for both individuals and couples in BYU’s student counseling center.
Jordan’s therapeutic approach focuses on creating a caring relationship with her clients where she will companion and witness emotional experiences with them in a joint effort to create understanding, meaning, and purposeful direction in pursuit of their values. Jordan uses principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systems Theory, Relational Philosophy and Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy to help her meet the varied needs of her clients. She is committed to building strong therapeutic relationships with her clients, where they can feel free to share, work through their experiences, examine their lives and patterns of behavior, discover alternatives, discuss agentic possibilities, understand their relationships, and move toward creating desired change.
Jordan values working with couples and individuals, and has experience helping those facing eating concerns, anxiety, depression, grief, Autism spectrum disorder, and pornography/masturbation concerns.
Jordan worked as a ski instructor at Sundance, loves doing home decorating projects, and is kind of obsessed with personal finance and budgeting. She loves good food and good conversation and can often be found with her nose in a book. She loves being a Mom and spending time with her family.
We’d love to see if Jordan can help assist you in your mental health journey! Call Alliance Psychology today at 801-224-2313 and schedule with a therapist in Orem.
