
Meet Rachel Chapman

Today we are spotlighting one of our therapists in Spanish Fork, Rachel Chapman. Rachel received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from BYU. Her dissertation focused on what mental health providers need to know to help serve Native Hawaiians who identify as third gender, or mahu. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Arkansas and has also worked at BYU-Hawaii and BYU-Provo in their respective counseling centers.
Rachel has an affirming approach to therapy, focused on meeting the client where they are. She works from a compassion-focused lens, striving to create a safe and warm environment for clients. Her interpersonal and relational approach to treatment help establish a collaborative therapeutic experience aimed at helping clients live a more empathic and empowered life.
Rachel has a special interest in helping LGBTQ+ clients and clients experiencing faith difficulties. She works primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, sexual concerns, women’s issues, and diversity-related concerns.
Rachel participates in a monthly cooking club with friends. She loves visiting family in Illinois, especially her niece and nephews.
