When You & Your Partner Feel Disconnected
Every relationship faces challenges. Constant arguments, feelings of betrayal, or a sense of growing apart can leave couples feeling frustrated and alone. It is important to know that seeking support is not a sign of failure; it’s a sign that you value your relationship and want to move forward.
If you’re struggling with trust, intimacy, or communication, you’re not alone, and help is available. At Alliance Psychology, we understand that relationship challenges are painful, but they are also part of many couples’ stories.

- Communication breakdowns and misunderstandings
- Struggles with intimacy and affection
- Growing apart or drifting emotionally
- Feeling stuck in negative or unhealthy patterns
You should know that these issues are not uncommon, and you don’t have to navigate them alone. Our compassionate therapists offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore challenges and help you discover a path toward healing.
How Therapy Helps You Move Forward
We believe in the power of the therapeutic alliance. Our therapists seek to build a genuine partnership with you and your partner. Our goal isn't just to talk about problems. We aim to equip you with the tools to build a stronger, more resilient relationship.
Relationship counseling provides a safe, neutral space where both partners can be heard.
- Learn healthy, effective communication.
- Rebuild trust and move past hurt.
- Reconnect on a deeper, more intimate level.
- Find a sense of hope for your future as a couple.
Our therapists draw on evidence-based approaches, such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method, which have been shown to help couples reduce conflict and deepen their connection.
Our Approach at Alliance Psychology
For more than 25 years, Alliance Psychology has supported couples across Utah County through life’s most difficult relationship challenges. Our therapists know how overwhelming relationship struggles can feel.
We emphasize two guiding principles.
- Validating Your Pain: We acknowledge the hurt and frustration you are carrying, without minimizing it.
- Normalizing the Experience: You are not alone. Many couples face similar challenges, and therapy provides a way forward.
Our skilled therapists have specialized training and are passionate about helping partners rebuild connection. We also work in coordination with other healthcare providers when needed, ensuring that your care is comprehensive.
Most importantly, your sessions are completely confidential, giving you and your partner the safety to speak openly.
If relationship struggles are affecting your family, you may be recommended for family therapy sessions.
What Our Patients Are Saying

We have worked with practitioners at both locations and have only positive things to say about both the office staff, the appearance and comfort of the offices, and the therapists themselves. Everyone has been amazing! Professional, organized, extremely knowledgeable in their field, respectful, compassionate and kind - all the things you need when you need help!

They have helped our family so much! Sometimes it’s tough to find an effective therapist. They rock.
