Professional Highlights: Julia earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at BYU and is currently a PhD candidate. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Specialties: Julia works with individuals of all ages as well as couples and families. She uses a systemic approach in therapy, examining both the systems within people and those which comprise the context in which they live. Julia integrates a number of models in therapy, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Mindfulness-based. She works primarily with those experiencing depression, anxiety, family and marital conflict, trauma/abuse, life transitions, child/adolescent challenges, and with the LGBTQ+ population and their families. Julia has been married 23 years and has four children ages 13-22. She loves spending time with family, taking hikes, reading and writing poetry and dancing when she is not engaging in the beautiful, brutal process of humanity as a therapist.
