At Alliance Psychology, we believe mental health care should be both accessible and transparent. Whether you visit our Orem or Spanish Fork offices, or connect with us through telehealth from anywhere in Utah, our goal is to make the financial side of care as straightforward as possible.

Our billing team helps you understand your insurance coverage and private pay options so you can make informed decisions before starting therapy or psychological testing.

Since every plan is unique, we strongly encourage patients to confirm their specific benefits with their insurance provider. While our team verifies your benefits on your behalf, coverage and reimbursement are ultimately determined by your insurance company when a claim is processed.

Our Insurance Verification Process

We understand that insurance details can be confusing. That’s why our support team assists you before your first appointment. 

Here’s how our verification process works.

  • Provide Insurance Information: When you contact our office, please share your insurance provider, member ID, and date of birth with our team.
  • We Verify Coverage: Our staff will verify your insurance coverage and specific mental or behavioral health benefits through our Provider Portal. We will update you about your expected out-of-pocket costs based on the information we find. This amount will be due at the time of service.
  • Final Billing After Claims: Once your claim is processed, your insurance provider will determine any out-of-pocket costs. If the amount is different from expected, you will be billed or credited accordingly. Our team is here to answer any questions you may have about your bill. 

Private Pay Options

We welcome private pay options for clients who do not have insurance. Payment is due at the time of service.

Accepted payment methods include cash, check, debit or credit cards, and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).

Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis for reimbursement, and may occasionally request limited information, such as treatment plans. We only share the minimum necessary information to maintain coverage.

All patient records are stored securely within our HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system, accessible only to authorized clinical and billing staff. You can trust that your personal information and therapeutic records remain confidential at every step of your care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my insurance cover therapy or testing?

Coverage varies by plan. Our staff verifies your benefits before your first appointment, but we can’t guarantee payment until your insurance processes the claim.

Please note that it is your responsibility to understand the benefits and limitations of your mental or behavioral health insurance coverage. Not all services are covered, and you may have a deductible to reach prior to receiving coverage for services. Not all diagnoses are covered by every insurance plan.

What will my out-of-pocket cost be?

Your payment depends on your plan’s copay, deductible, and coinsurance. After your insurance claim is processed, your insurance provider will determine any out-of-pocket costs. Our team is available to answer questions and help you understand your coverage and billing.

Can I submit claims myself if you’re out of network?

Yes! You can request a superbill from us to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
