Professional Highlights: Stephen Anderson earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Stephen has experience working at a residential treatment center for youth and their families. He has also worked at other clinics in Utah, working with individuals and families struggling with the large variety of difficulties we experience in life and relationships.
Specialties: Stephen enjoys working with individuals of all ages, couples and families. He uses a casual and laid-back holistic and systemic approach in therapy. He is unconditional in his acceptance of others and strives to provide a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for his clients. Stephen likes to learn from his clients to gain their perspectives, struggles, needs and goals, and will help them where they are. He will use a variety of person-centered, integrative modalities to help provide the services and needs of each client. This can range from CBT, Narrative, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Experiential, and more. Stephen’s objective in therapy is to help his clients find their truth and path to their life and well-being. Stephen believes in building the understanding of the self, improving the compassion and values of self, accepting the truth and accountability of choice, and healing those pains inside us that limit our motivations and actions.
